Pete and Wayne were two young men with big dreams. They were highly motivated and willing to put in the work it would take to become the Coachella Valley’s premier mass grading contractor.

He wanted to spend more time fishing, farming and ranching. Pete taught us all so much. Pete was always trying to find a more efficient way of doing every aspect of moving dirt. If you ever had the pleasure of working for him he left a lasting impression. After Pete retired, Scott Stice started helping Wayne Waters with a few projects including a tank site for Coachella Valley water district that had a 300’ cut 100’fill and 300,000cy of shot rock. NEI Inc. helped in the design stages of the project completing takeoffs and 3D models to help create a site that balanced eliminating the need for import or export of dirt. In 2012 Wayne Waters decided to retire to start spending more time fishing, traveling and just enjoying life. Wayne has never completely stepped away; he has continued to make sure that everything is running smoothly.
